Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel multicast mobility solution empowered by a cross-layer approach leveraging on the capabilities of Multicast Context Transfer and IEEE 802.21 Media-Independent Handover. The proposed solution was implemented and deployed in a real testbed, with results showing the significantly reduced latency for vertical handovers.
